Visit Leader Training is focused on active risk assessment and group management on educational visits and off-site activities. It will familiarise participants in the good practise required to lead successful educational visits. The course includes elements and topics that would have been previously discussed and covered in the former Residential Leaders Course.
The training comprises of an overview of the visit planning process, time outside considering group management issues, written and dynamic risk assessment, road crossings and includes an overview of local approval processes.
Part of the day is spent outdoors, please come prepared for this and bring suitable outdoor clothing and footwear.
At the end of the course participants will receive a course completion certificate.
