Course Context: This course extends the knowledge already gained from 'FMS Daily Tasks - Day 1'. This course covers the management side of FMS. It will look at how FMS is set up and how to amend the chart of accounts structure. Management-based reports and month end processes will be covered.
Who should attend? Newly appointed staff with a supporting role relating to the financial processes, or existing staff who may be taking on a new role within school. Staff supporting the school bursar in the financial processes.
Pre-requisites: Participants should have attended 'FMS Daily Tasks - Day 1'.
How will I benefit? You will build on knowledge gained during Day 1 and will benefit from an understanding of the management aspects of FMS.
What will I learn? By the end of the course you will have an understanding of:
- the setup of FMS
- maintaining/creating the chart of accounts structure in FMS
- the various management reports in FMS
- the budget process in FMS
- bank processes in FMS
- journal processes in FMS
